Jessica Stevens

I am… Jess Stevens and I’m an Associate Client and Programme Partner for Moving Ahead. My role involves supporting the internal client delivery team. I’m also studying for my Masters in Organisational Psychology, to further understand how to improve employees work-life and organisational effectiveness.

I’ve been… understanding how psychology can be applied in the workplace. I completed my Psychology Degree at The University of Manchester in 2017 and then spent three years working in learning and development at Reach plc implementing new internal talent development programmes and focused on creating new talent initiatives. Outside of work I wanted to further understand how psychological research and theories could be applied in the workplace, which has led me to studying for my Masters at The University of London, Birkbeck. After leaving Reach plc I went hiking in the Canadian Rockies and developed a business with my Mum that presses flowers and bouquets from people’s events. I knew that I wanted to work for a company that supports D&I so I am very excited to be working for Moving Ahead.

I bring… experience of working in learning and development and also insights from academic research to promote an inclusive working environment. I love developing relationships with others and creating innovative solutions to challenges in the workplace.

Women Ahead and Moving Ahead is… an amazing company that has inspired and increased my passion for understanding D&I challenges and developmental support for employees. Improving inclusion and wellbeing at work is incredibly important. The work at Moving Ahead really champions this and I am grateful to be a part of it!
