I am… Sarah Connor, Managing Partner at Women Ahead.

I’ve been... working in education and the not-for-profit sector for 18 years, including nine years as a director at the leading education charity Teach First where coaching and mentoring is a fundamental part of the support given to the teachers involved. Other roles have included running a communications agency within the charity sector, working at the BBC and as a secondary teacher of English and Drama.  

Women Ahead… is an organisation that I am delighted to be part of as it combines two of my passions - supporting women to be more effective as leaders and the world of sport! Its work is very practical and already we are seeing the impact that acting as an enabler and a connector can have, particularly when working in meaningful partnership with others.

I bring… a combination of strategic vision, drive, enthusiasm and a love of planning and organisation! I also bring experience of building a successful start-up which I hope will be of value as we grow Women Ahead.
