Sarah is a 2004 Olympic bronze medallist, double world champion rower, and was a recipient of the Helen Rollason Award for Inspiration at the 2013 Sky Sports and Sunday Times Sportswomen of the Year Awards. She is also a global coaching expert with hard-won experience from multicultural coaching and leadership.

Sarah spent four years as Chair of the Athletes’ Commission for the British Olympic Association and led the most successful Youth Olympic Games team ever as Chef de Mission for Team GB in Nanjing in 2014. After leading the Youth Commonwealth Games in 2017 in the Bahamas to great success, she is heading up the organisation and running of the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. She was the inaugural Chairman of the BOA’s Athletes Commission and was the first woman ever to be appointed as an Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race umpire. Sarah serves on the Athletes Commission and on the Board of UK Anti-Doping, and was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours 2015 for services to sport and young people.

Sarah is a powerful presence on stage, speaking on all aspects of leadership, teamwork, mentoring, coaching and her journey through elite sport.
