The 30% Club has become synonymous with building gender balance on boards since 2010, and has a pioneering cross- company, cross-sector mentoring scheme that aims to develop a broader pipeline of women and ‘balance the pyramid’ at all levels.

This scheme matches male and female leaders to mentor women from a different organisation, and offers monthly events that provide high-touch learning and a platform for building networks. 

In its third year in the UK – and in its second year of being delivered by Women Ahead - the initiative has had tremendous success, and is the largest of its kind in the world. With more than 630 mentors and mentees and 47 organisations taking part – this scheme represents the power of mentoring at its best and is now expanding globally.
